Pharmacy Volunteer
A qualified pharmacy volunteer professional who volunteers in this position can expect to deliver prescribed medications to patients, while providing them with directions on how to administer the prescriptions. The responsibilities will be similar to own country. However, some placements will require the pharmacy volunteer to be able to converse well in the host country's language.
It is important for the pharmacy volunteer to be able to answer the patient's questions about the functions and purposes of their medication. A pharmacy volunteer can also expect to make sure all the prescriptions are labeled, that there is sufficient inventory on an ongoing basis, and to help maintain a clean and safe environment in the pharmacy.
