Volunteer Tutoring - After School
A volunteer tutoring placement may involve helping students with their homework assignments or assisting students on a one-on- one basis.
A preschool volunteer teacher should be passionate about working with young children. While these placements can be fun and exciting, it is important that any volunteer teacher has strong leadership skills and high energy.
At a preschool level, volunteers can teach subjects such as art, music and English. A preschool volunteer teacher and/or volunteer tutor is encouraged to brainstorm and prepare activities in these subjects prior to their departure date.
